06:25 pm: China part 2
So, I managed to qualify for the Winthrop-King scholarship, and am going back to China this summer!!!!!!!

Does happy dance. I already bought my plane ticket and leave on the 5th of May and won't be back until August 16th.

This semester has been freaking crazy. Taking 18 hours, 12 of which are language classes. ><

Meh. I am so grateful for this scholarship! I wouldn't have been able to go back to China with out it. It's covering everything!

More later, it's raining crazy hard right now, and I have to get ready to go out and about in it. ^^v

yeesh. This will be quick, just so everyone knows I didn't completely fall off the face of the Earth.

China was kick ass.

Portfolio owns my soul. Whoever thought, hey lets make the final project 80% of the final grade can bite me.

Chinese 3 and Japanese 2 are battling it out with Portfolio to win dominance over my soul.

And Draping is trying to sneak in while everyone is fighting.

More to come later. I need to clean up some and work on my portfolio and study.

I need to get at least 3 more sketches done tonight before Heroes comes on.

Cause ya know, that show just kicks ass!

The trip to China is official! I managed to buy my plane ticket Tuesday and I leave June 22. So If any one wants souvinours from China, send my your addys, and you will get an awesome box of goodies with a China stamp on them!

Sena! I'm stopping in China on the way, in Toronto, didn't know how far you were to the International airport....^^; I have a four hour layover in Toronto if you want to come keep me company! I could bring your Christmas present! Because I'm too lame to actually mail the thing....><

In other news, I was in the fashion show a few weeks back modeling for silk, and I had a mohawk!

My hair fell a bit, but it was huge! I couldn't fit in my car! It was awesome.

Let's see. Chinese and Japanese are pretty much awesome. The chalk contest is tomorrow, so I probably will be posting pictures of the cool picture I have planned. ^^ If it comes out right of course......

Silver Sun Pickups, Ok Go, and Snow Patrol!!!!!!

And during Snow Patrols bit, they picked me to get up and sing with them.

I can die happy now. As soon as I get pics I shall post.

It hasn't sunk in yet methinks, and I am still on an adrenaline high.

10:11 pm: So~! Update central yo!

1. Mavan is going to China!!!!!!!!!

*takes deeeeep breath*

Holy freaking crap!~

Note, it hasn't quite sunk in yet, as I still have to buy my plane ticket, but yeah. My first time out of the country and I go somewhere that's a 12 hour time difference. And I applied for financial aid, and because I'm a poor college student, and I applied early, I managed to get a grant that's gonna pay for the whole thing.

Hot Damn!

2. I got my new laptop, that I've been saving up for since August. It's pretty much the coolest thing ever, and I've seen some pretty cool stuff.

3. Japanese and Chinese class is pretty epic. I've only recently started mixing the two up when I have to spell one or the other phonetically, which is interesting in the sort "Oh, God, my brains are gonna leak out of my ears!" kind of way.

I'm rather pleased that I'm doing better than some of my classmates, but then again not really. I am putting about eight hours a day studying both. I'd be pissed if I wasn't doing better. So says me.

Yeah, so those three are probably the newest developments in my life right now. Other than being completely sideswiped by school work, that of which I'm barely getting through as is, its business as usual.

Anyone want to do my mythology studying for me? Totally not in the mood to reread the Enuma Elish right now, but alas, midterms are next week.

So now I leave good night in two languages, cause my brain is weird, sorry if they don't show up.

Life is busy.

27 more days till school starts. Whoot like whoa. I'm so tired of being in Orlando right now. It wouldn't be so bad, but there isn't any one here. ><

Another thing. I hope to those that I've been calling don't see me as a nuisance. Although the fact that only one of them is on LJ, and he hasn't been on in several months, this message is rather moot. I really try not to be annoying, I'm not a very touchy feely person. But I like to be aknowledged. And when three weeks go by with out anyone returning my phone calls, what am I supposed to do?

Something else. I'm putting myself through school. I work really hard at my job to be able to earn money for my living expenses and tuition. I've managed to earn enough to pay July's rent in the apartment I no longer live in, the last month's rent for the new place, and the rent for September for the new place. Along with other little things, like the cell phone bill.

Now parental units, I love you both. And I know Mom took a month off to help take care of Pop-Pop. I also know that Gran is a skinflint and she shows no mercy. That's why I helped, but I know the both of you. I don't plan on getting paid back anytime soon this year. And that $400? I need that for books.

I'm tired and frustrated. I work really hard all summer, I didn't even get summer really, and I really don't have anything to show for it. I won't have to worry about rent for a month or two, by then hopefully financial aid will be in, but really.

What the hell did I do with the last three months?

I didn't sew, I didn't draw. I didn't do anything that would help me with school. I'm already behind my classmates because I can't afford to take more classes a semester. My roommate doesn't call me back to tell me what's going on about the new place, I have to take care of it from here.

I'm not going to be able to study abroad for my mjor, and I really want to go. I can't afford it. It's as simple as that.

Our new apartment is rather expensive, and I'd rather we had chosen something cheaper a little further out, but Keri doesn't drive, and just has her bike. So I have to accomadate her.

I'm just tired.

I want to sleep and never wake up, I want Gran to get of mom's back and I want to go and visit my other Grandmother. The one who listens. The one who doesn't give a damn how much money I can make with my degree. The one who tells me I do a wonderful job and makes me smile.

Ignore me if you want, I'm used to it.

I;m at work, again, and I just don't want to be here anymore.
